Be a Part of the Health and Wellness Movement

AVA: America's Walking Club, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing health and wellness education and activities to our community since 1976.  We welcome people of any background, age, and ability to come participate in our non-competitive sporting events. Set your own pace at any of our events whether it be walking, biking, swimming, canoeing, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing. For more on our events visit AVA.org.

If you love to walk and meet new friends, join any of our 200 walking clubs nationwide to find the perfect trail for you. No membership is required, only the motivation to walk! Bring your family, friends, and even pets on the beautiful, unique trails that the AVA offers. Walk the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota, the Yosemite National Park in California, or our very own World Heritage Site – the San Antonio Missions. Come join us and reap the many benefits of walking. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2012), walking helps you live longer by lowering your risk for heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, and even some cancers. Gain all these health benefits simply by walking with us!

With AVA, you’re not only improving your physical health, but you are also creating long-lasting friendships all while rediscovering the nature and culture around you. This year's Big Give campaign will play a critical role in allowing us to continue to serve our community and create a larger footprint on an international level.

Take the Step. Make an Impact!
